So the Governor of North Carolina has suspended all gun rights due to the approaching hurricane Earl. The problem here is multiple. For starters after a disaster this is the time one would need to protect themselves,their families,and there property waht ever that may be more so than normal times. Secondly this is not just for the affected area This is now a state wide ban for however long the Governor feels.
State of emergency order makes criminals of concealed handgun permit-holders, sport shooters and hunters.
[Raleigh] Yesterday, North Carolina Governor Beverly Perdue signed Executive Order No. 62, declaring a State of Emergency in advance of Hurricane Earle. In doing so, Perdue suspended the right of state residents to use or carry firearms outside their premises.
At issue is N.C. General Statute 14-288.7, which prohibits transporting a “dangerous weapon” during a state of emergency:
This is just one more thing to add to the ever growing list of despicable and illegal actions by this governor since taking office. Not only did NC already have one the highest tax rates on almost everything but the unemployment was already dwindling. Upon taking office she made sure to make all of that worse with her policies!
Now she has created the bases for Martial law. Which is what this is. This violates the 2nd amendment in the article it clearly shows that the democrats that my fellow North Carolinian's for some reason keep voting in. Even after all the wonderfully harmful things they have done to us. Continue to block and vote down in changing.
I urge especially after this imposition of minor martial law that all in NC'ers make her a one term Governor. Wheres Mccrory when you need him?
